Terms Entered in Search
A name, location, or other term entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Houston County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The search provider receives the query under its separate privacy practices and technical controls.
Email and Contact Messages
If you send an email or use a contact form, we retain the message and the details you provide so we can read and answer it. Contact submissions are not shared beyond the organization unless disclosure is required by law. Do not send sensitive identifiers or confidential case material that is not needed for the request.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Ordinary server, analytics, and advertising systems may record technical details when a page loads. This information helps measure traffic, diagnose faults, and understand how the site performs. Depending on the service involved, the recorded details may include:
- The visitor's internet protocol address

Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy notice and terms govern its collection and use of information.
Some advertising partners may use their own cookies or tracking tools to understand activity across websites and select interest-based ads. That processing occurs through the partner's systems, not through a private Houston County government database maintained here.
